Dr. Stephanie Rashewsky, DMD

Dr. Stephanie was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan where she graduated from Forest Hills Central High School. She completed her undergraduate education at Kalamazoo College with a BA degree in Biology, graduating Magna Cum Laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

She received her DMD from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and graduated with Honors in Research and also received the Horace Wells Award for excellence in dental anesthesia. Stephanie received a certificate in dental anesthesia from Stony Brook University Medical Center in New York. While in residency, Stephanie volunteered in Cucuta, Colombia with Healing the Children for a cleft lip and palate mission trip.

After completing her dental anesthesia residency, Stephanie completed her training in pediatric dentistry at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania, serving as Chief Resident. During residency, Dr. Stephanie received two prestigious awards, the Resident Recognition Award for her innovative oral health education and literacy program, “Books, Brushing, and Bedtime” and Richard C. Pugh Award for scoring in the top 3% nationwide on the pediatric dentistry board examination.

Dr. Stephanie serves as the Oral Health Clinical Advisor at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital and maintains hospital privileges, caring for her medically complex patients. While in residency, Dr. Stephanie provided dental treatment for very medically complex patients and she has multiple publications related to hospital dentistry and dental findings in children with special health care needs.

Dr. Stephanie is Board Certified in Pediatric Dentistry and Dental Anesthesiology, a Fellow of General Anesthesia in the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (ADSA), and a Diplomate of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), American Dental Board of Anesthesia (ABDA), and National Dental Board of Anesthesiology (NDBA). Stephanie is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Grand Rapids Magazine has recognized Dr. Stephanie in their Top Dentists issues. Dentists receiving this distinction were voted by their peers and Dr. Stephanie is honored to be selected.

Dr. Stephanie lives in Ada with her husband and her two wonderful daughters, Chloe and Sophie. Being a mother has made her an even better pediatric dentist. Dr. Stephanie will care for your child the way that she would care for her own girls. One of Dr. Stephanie’s favorite parts of her job is watching her patients achieve all of the little and big milestones, including getting their first tooth, to losing their first tooth, to graduation.
